From the North (Rome, Naples, Bologna, Milan):
Take the A14 (Autostrada Adriatica) motorway, which runs along Italy’s Adriatic coast. Bari has two main exits — Bari Nord and Bari Sud.From Rome → about 4.5–5 hours (430 km) via the A16 (toward Canosa di Puglia) and then A14.
From Naples → about 3.5 hours (260 km) via A16 and A14.
From Bologna → about 6.5 hours (670 km) via A14.
Parking in Bari:
In the city center, parking can be limited. Look for “Parcheggi di scambio” (park-and-ride lots) or public garages near Bari Centrale. Street parking often requires a ticket (“strisce blu” – blue lines).
