ANIV-G is the group of young researchers within ANIV. Its goal is to promote cooperation in the Wind Engineering discipline, ease the exchange of ideas, support the spreading of knowledge and favor contamination with other scientific communities. ANIV-G meeting 2026
ANIV-G will kick off next IN-VENTO 2026 conference on September, 13th 2026 with a full day devoted to young researchers within ANIV.
A brief and informal meeting aimed at reporting the activities organized will take place. Then, the organization and the next steps of ANIV-G will be discussed with all ANIV-G members.
ANIV-G PhD Session 2026
During the ANIV-G PhD session, you will get the opportunity to present your research and to socialize without the common formalities of a traditional scientific conference. Goals, methodologies, main findings, but also challenges are welcome.
The upcoming PhD session will be organized as follows.
1. Poster Session
Attendees will prepare a poster showcasing their research (goals, questions, ongoing activity, methodology) to socialize in an informal environment. The topic and content of the poster are totally free. This activity is mainly designed to first- or second-year PhD students.
2. My PhD in Three Minutes
Attendees will deliver a 3-minute presentation to showcase their PhD research and arouse the curiosity of the audience. The topic and content of the presentation are free, but pay attention to the time limit! The audience will be asked to vote for the best presentation based on the following rubric: (i) clarity, (ii) quality of supporting material, and (iii) respect for the time available. This activity is mainly designed to third-year PhD students or early PostDocs.
3. My PhD in Detail
The top three qualified will be awarded the opportunity to present exhaustively their research with a 30-minute presentation (20 min talk + 10 min Q&A) and celebrate with a toast!
